About Josep

I am a biochemical researcher specialized in cancer biology and metabolomics. My goals so far have been exploring metabolic mechanisms and discovering new targets against cancer. After graduating in Universitat de Barcelona (UB), I did my Master’s Degree at the Université Grenoble-Alps, PhD Degree at UB, and a Marie Sklodowska Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at The Francis Crick Institute in London, I am currently working at the Vall d’Hebron Institue of Oncology as a VIDA VHIO Postdoctoral Fellow. In the Cancer Genome Engineering laboratory, led by Dr. Francisco Barriga, I now focus on the interplay between genomic alterations and its phenotype and response to therapeutic interventions in pancreatic cancer. Additionally, I have always been involved in teaching and outreach activities at University College London and UB.
