About Aurane
Aurane Froux is a VHIO VIDA-MSCA postdoctoral fellow at the Vall d’Hebron Institute of Oncology in Barcelona, working in the Cancer Cell Cycle group led by Dr Marcos Malumbres. She holds a Research Master’s degree in Health and Cell Biology from the University of Lorraine and completed an international PhD between the University of Lorraine (France) and the University of Palermo (Italy). Her doctoral research focused on G-quadruplex (G4) DNA as a therapeutic target in cancer, combining synthetic chemistry, molecular modelling and cell biology to develop and characterize novel G4-targeting molecules. After completing her PhD in 2024, she worked as a teaching and research assistant while continuing her research on G4 biology at the University of Lorraine. At VHIO, her research focuses on understanding small cell lung cancer plasticity and neuroendocrine transformation, with the aim of identifying new therapeutic vulnerabilities and targets.
